Olga Azatyan

Olga Azatyan is a PhD student at the Department of Political Science at V. Brusov State University. Her PhD research is looking at the Influence of Civil Society in Armenia’s Modernization.  She holds MA of International Public Administration at London Metropolitan University.

Since 2015 is a visiting lecturer at Brusov State University Education Management Department teaching public policy. She is a researcher at the Armenian Research Center in Humanities.

Her main research interests include modernization, feminism, green politics, development of civil society and social movements.

She has 15 years of professional work experience in the domain of protection and promotion of human rights and democracy working locally and internationally.

She has been founder and/or member of series of grassroot civic movements in Armenia for the period of 2008-2018 mostly concentrating on social justice, women’s rights and green issues.
